Blog

Welcome to my webs.com site

This is my first blog here on webs.com and I like blogging with family and friends...and new friends are always welcome smile

I'll be writing about local happenings and things going on in my area (metro Phoenix) and around the state of Arizona. Sharing pictures, videos, slide shows, recipes, stories & jokes, just whatever but usually with a western or regional theme. I'll let you know about things to do, special events, concerts, places to eat drink and be merry, my favorite AZ sites, info about Arizona, and more. I also hope that you will share things like that too. Ucoming events, Poker leagues, craft fairs, concerts, yard sales, bake sales, fund raisers, chili cook offs, festivals, etc. You get the idea.
I'm always looking for fun things to do...and I love to playing poker so I'd love to hear about poker events in the Gilbert and Queen Creek area.
Untill next time...have a great day!
Thanks for reading smile

Hi!! My favorite Mexican food place is On the Border! The only thing I order from here is the Corona Extra Dinner and Guacamole Live!! The Corona Extra dinner is a Chili stuffed with chicken fajita and yummy cheese..then fried in a crispy coating....it is served with rice and beans with your choice of black beans or refried..and a shredded beef taco..plenty of food to share...because I am sure you will have to watch yourself around the chip and salsa bowl..the salsa is excellent just the right heat...I go here because this the only place I can get the chili made this way it is not really a spicy dish.....Guacamole Live is awesome and very filling as well, it is made with 4 avocados and made fresh at your table the dip is made however you like hot or mild ....I highly recommend all of these dishes and you have to try one of the margaritas...The bartender Rich makes an awesome margarita although I have only tried a sip of one... Enjoy!!!

There a couple of ideas for something to do in the evenings since, we all know the days get awfully hot here in Arizona..At the Phoenix Botanical Gardens Flashlight Tours 7-9 until August 31st this would be something little ones would enjoy. The Phoenix Zoo will be hosting Starry Safari Friday Nights for the kiddos as well...I will post the times for the Zoo shortly or this info can be accessed at their website phoenixzoo.com
Ok, here's another Mexican food restaurant review for everyone...A couple of weeks ago we celebrated Bailey's birthday at Arriba's, it's new at San Tan..the food was pretty good..if like your green chilies with HEAT this is the place to go..A little pricy..not too bad though..and on Sunday's kids eat free! Friday and Saturday they also have an outdoor Hstch green chili roast..$1.99 a pound..These chilies pack some heat so be prepared..I have ordered the Green Chili Cheese Crisp and that was HOT!! I love green chilies and I could barely eat them I took most of them off and it was still warm..The salsa is great...Service..depends on who your server is I guess..some of them didn't seem too happy to be there..but overall is a good place to eat...and a nice restaurant..
