Online Web Albums
(for safekeeping and sharing photos)
Have access to your photos where ever you go
- Photobucket ~ site on the Internet for uploading, sharing, linking and finding photos, videos, and graphics. Your free Photobucket account can store thousands of photos and hours of video. Photobucket also offers free tools for making slideshows of photos, videos with music, and more. I've been a member since 2003 and became a Pro member in 2006.
- Picasa Web Albums ~ Picasa is free photo management software that helps you instantly find, edit and share all the photos on your PC. Picasa automatically locates all your photos (even ones you forgot you had) and sorts them into visual folders organized by name, size, or date. You can drag and drop to arrange your folders and make albums to create new groups. Picasa makes sure your photos are always organized.
- Webshots ~ I've been a member since 2003 and I've found a lot of beautiful photos and screen savers on Webshots. It's a great place to share photos.
- ABC.com ~ I love the series LOST but I am way behind. I am only on Season 3. But thanks to abc I can watch past episodes whenever I want. So I am hoping to catch up soon. Also available in HD Streaming are the following shows:
- hulu ~ Copied this from the websites "about" section: Hulu brings together a large selection of videos from more than 100 content providers, including FOX, NBC Universal, MGM, Sony Pictures Television, Warner Bros. and more. Users can choose from more than 900 current primetime TV hits such as The Simpsons, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and The Office the morning after they air, classics like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The A Team, Airwolf and Married...with Children, movies like Men in Black, Ghostbusters, and The Karate Kid, and clips from Saturday Night Live, Friends and other popular TV shows and movies. I like the fact that you don't have to download any software to watch the video on the site. You can go to the hulu "about section* here for more info.
- Netflix ~ I've been a member of Netflix since 2004. Dvd's are delivered to your door and there is no late fees. Late fees would add up because no one wanted to take the movies back to the video store.

GigaPan is the newest development of the Global Connection Project, which aims to help us meet our neighbors across the globe, and learn about our planet itself. GigaPan will help bring distant communities and peoples together through images that have so much detail that they are, themselves, the objects of exploration, discovery and wonder.....more here.
- Skype ~ Skype created a little piece of software that makes communicating with people around the world easy and fun. With Skype you can say hello or share a laugh with anyone, anywhere. And if both of you are on Skype, it’s free. Available in 28 languages and is used in almost every country around the world. Skype generates revenue through its premium offerings such as making and receiving calls to and from landline and mobile phones, as well as voicemail and call forwarding. Skype, based in Luxembourg, has relationships with a growing network of hardware and software providers and is an eBay company.

- PaperBack Swap.com ~ began in 2004 as a way for book readers to share their already-read books with each other via the Internet. Since then it has grown enormously with a library of over 2.2 million books, which includes paperbacks, hard covers and audio books. The club boasts members in all 50 states and U.S. territories/military APO/FPO addresses. To date over 2 million books have been swapped successfully through the U.S. mail with an average of over 35,000 book swaps each week.
