• Facebook ~ Popular social network. Great place to stay in touch with family and friends! More personal I think that most of the other social sites :)
• Myspace ~  Myspace is a great place to check out new music and local artist in your area.   Not just for kids...and kids younger than 15 should NOT be on Myspace unsupervised.  I think it is ok for them to keep in touch with family and friends but their profile should always be set to private. 
• MyLot ~ A fun site! Start your own discussions and comment on discussions started by others...and get paid.
  
• Yuwie ~  A great site to meet people and make friends from all over the world.  Yuwie shares it's ad revenue with it's members.  Am I going to make money? "Yes".  Am I going to make a lot of money? " That is yet to be seen".  I'm having fun and enjoying the friends that I am making.
  

• Multiply ~ Multiply is a fun and easy way to keep in touch with your friends and family by sharing things like photo albums, videos, music, blogs, events and more.

You can chat and rate movies, take quizzes, etc.   You can also watch movies and TV shows.  I'm a fan of "Lost In Space" and I watch it on Flixster.
